NEW YORK — Lactalis USA’s Président cheese brand featured its most popular products, along with two new offerings, at the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) show June 9-11 in Houston.

The company also will highlight its new products — Le Braison, a sheep milk cheese; and Leerdammer, a Swiss and Dutch Gouda — at the upcoming Specialty Food Association (SFA) Summer Fancy Food Show June 23-25 in New York.

According to Président, Le Braison is a French imported cooking cheese that will “melt your heart” and comes in oven-ready packaging that is perfect for sharing. Leerdammer is imported from Holland and “has an irresistibly smooth texture with a mild and nutty flavor.” It will be available in the United States in both wheels and exact weight wedges.

Of the brand’s best-selling classics, its Président Feta 8 oz chunk is being featured for its new packaging, with a resealable easy peel film for freshness and reuse. It also uses less plastic than before, and the company said consumer tests found the new design “creates higher visibility, greater shelf appeal, and overall presents as a high-quality premium product.”

Président is also highlighting its Pub Cheese spreads, which are available in Sharp Cheddar, Cheddar & Port Wine, Cheddar Jalapeno, Cheddar & Horseradish, and Cheddar & Bacon. They come in both 8 oz cups and 3 oz snack options.

Président also recently launched a summer promotional campaign offering consumers a chance to win a trip to Paris. Through Sept. 22, shoppers can scan a QR code on Président Brie, Président Camembert and Président Butter packages to go to the contest website. There will be five trips awarded, and each includes airfare for two, a four-night hotel stay and a traditional French dinner.
