WALNUT CREEK, CALIF. — Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc., introduced its latest line of frozen treats, Frollies, which the company noted are formulated with real fruit juices and purees.

Launching in freezer aisles inside grocery stores throughout the country, Frollies debuted with three flavor options: Watermelon, Pineapple and Strawberry.

The new brand’s fruity ice pops contain no artificial flavors or colors – the company said all added colors come from natural sources. The Watermelon flavor blends watermelon and apple water ice, and is topped with chocolate flavored pieces that mimic seeds. That topping also appears on the Strawberry flavor, which combines strawberry and apple ice. Likewise, Pineapple pops contains apple juice to complement the pineapple.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Frollies into the market,” Dreyer’s marketing director Meredith Saxe said. “Not only are they delicious and fun, but they let you really enjoy the moment without worrying about what’s inside. A perfect treat for the whole family to enjoy.”

The company shared that it came up with the Frollies name by mashing up “frozen fruity lollies,” noting it was intended to evoke “childlike wonder” representative of the treats’ creamy, sorbet-like textures and playful fruit shapes.
