MILWAUKEE — A popular breakfast combo provided a springboard to innovation for the formulators at goat cheese maker Montchevre.
The Saputo USA brand launched its newest flavor, Cold Brew & Donuts, which Montchevre said it developed for cheesy desserts, snacks, and breakfast or brunch occasions.
"We're always analyzing consumer insights to stay ahead of the trends, and the demand for adventurous goat cheese profiles and flavor mashups continues to increase year over year," said Jenny Englert, marketing director for Saputo USA. "Launching a first-of-its-kind Cold Brew & Donuts goat cheese on the market is one more example of how we continue to offer our customers an even wider range of flavors to explore."
Montchevre also unveiled a new Mild Gouda-Style goat milk cheese that is imported from the Netherlands. The company described the creation as one that features the “creaminess of traditional gouda cheese with the subtle kick of a goat milk tang.”
Sold as a 5.3 oz wedge, the gouda-inspired goat cheese will arrive at retailers later this year, the company said.
