CHICAGO – Philadelphia Cream Cheese announced its signature creamy taste is coming directly to the baking category with the launch of Philadelphia Frosting.

The Kraft Heinz Company brand said its refrigerated cream cheese frosting is made with fresh milk and real cream. 

“Bringing the creamy deliciousness of Philadelphia to the frosting category just makes sense and it’s a great example of how we’re giving our fans new ways they can enjoy Philly in the kitchen,” said Becca Dunphey, The Kraft Heinz Company’s president of taste, meals and snacking.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect a frosting recipe worthy of the Philadelphia name, and we are excited to bring this game changing innovation to market,” Dunphey said. “With Philadelphia Frosting, consumers don’t need to compromise on taste or convenience, they can be confident that they’re getting the delicious Philadelphia experience every time.”

The company said the culinary team at Philadelphia spent a year and a half crafting a recipe that mirrors the taste of homemade frosting to uplevel any treat. Is said the new product combines the brand’s signature rich creaminess with a sweet and tangy balanced taste, adding that the frosting may be used with cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit or other dishes and desserts.

Beginning in October, Philadelphia Frosting will be available in 16 oz tubs at select retailers nationwide.
