MILWAUKEE – The first brand collaboration for goat cheese maker Montchevre made its retail debut.

The Saputo USA brand announced the launch of its Montchevre Mike's Hot Honey Goat Cheese, with the 4 oz logs arriving at grocery stores throughout the country.

Per Montchevre, the flavor partnership combines the creamy tang of its goat cheese with the sweet heat of Mike’s Hot Honey.

Saputo USA noted that the new flavor mashup created a goat cheese that is “bold enough to stand on its own on a crisp cracker or slice of fruit,” while also recommending incorporating it into charcuterie boards, salads, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas.

"We're always looking ahead to what's next in order to bring consumers innovative, fun new goat cheese pairings," said Jenny Englert, marketing director for Saputo USA. "The sweet heat of Mike's Hot Honey pairs perfectly with the tangy freshness of our goat cheese for a memorable bite every time."

Mike's Hot Honey founder Mike Kurtz said the companies can’t wait for people to try the new product.

"I have always loved adding a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey to goat cheese, because the combination of honey and chili peppers pairs so well with the cool creaminess of the cheese,” Kurtz said. "It made perfect sense for Montchevre to add a kick of sweet heat to their product so consumers can enjoy the delicious taste in the same bite.”
