DUBLIN, CALIF. – Challenge Butter, the flagship brand of Challenge Dairy Products, a marketing and processing cooperative in California co-owned by 300 dairy farmers, announced national distribution for one of its fastest-growing products: Spreadable Lactose-Free Clarified Butter with Canola Oil.
This month, consumers can find the enhanced butter product on shelves nationwide.
Challenge Dairy's lactose-free butter, the company shared, long has been a favorite among health-conscious consumers and those with lactose intolerance. The strategic decision to increase distribution is largely driven by the ever-growing lactose-free category, which is projected to reach nearly $20 billion in value by 2025.
“We're committed to providing delicious and convenient dairy options for everyone,” said Michael Burdeny, president of Challenge Dairy Products. “The decision to grow distribution of our Lactose-Free Clarified Butter with Canola Oil product demonstrates our dedication to catering to the growing demand for lactose-free products. Our lactose-free butter maintains the high quality and taste consumers expect from Challenge Dairy with the benefit of being spreadable.”
The lactose-free butter is available in 8 oz tubs with an MSRP of $3.99 in select retailers nationwide.
