GREEN BAY, WIS. — BelGioioso Cheese received several first, second and third place awards across multiple categories at the 2024 American Cheese Society (ACS) Judging & Competition. 

BelGioioso products earned six first place awards from ACS, with Cow and Sheep Gorgonzola, Fontina, Fresh Mozzarella 1-lb log, Mascarpone, Parmesan, and Marinated Fresh Mozzarella with Basil and Garlic each winning a category.

"We are thrilled and honored to receive such prestigious recognition from the American Cheese Society," said Gaetano Auricchio, president of BelGioioso Cheese.

"These awards highlight the passion and dedication of our team and our unwavering commitment to producing the highest quality cheeses,” Auricchio said. “Our focus on creating exceptional gorgonzola and introducing innovative new products like the Marinated Fresh Mozzarella with Basil and Garlic has truly paid off.”

Auricchio also said the company’s success with traditional cheese – he gave fontina, fresh mozzarella and parmesan as examples – highlights BelGioioso’s ability to “excel in producing classic, time-honored favorites.”

He added: “We are proud to share these achievements with our customers and look forward to continuing to provide them with exceptional cheese experiences."

Second place awards went to BelGioioso’s Fresh Mozzarella 8-oz ball, Crescenza-Stracchino and Artigiano Blood Orange.

The cheese producer’s American Grana, Black Truffle Burrata, Caciocavallo Medium Provolone, Crema di Mascarpone and Stracciatella Burrata filling each received third place.
