MONTREAL — Lallemand Bio-Ingredients expanded its Engevita brand with the addition of a garlic parmesan style powder.
The company said the powder blends flavors of garlic and parmesan cheese for such applications as snacking, sauces, batters and ready meals.
Per Lallemand, the powder contributes to the complexity of cheese flavors, offers a shelf-stable, microbiologically controlled formulation and provides kosher and halal certifications.
The Engevita brand is a whole-food cultured inactive nutritional yeast derived from primary-grown Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
