MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — Flash-frozen dessert specialist Dippin' Dots soon will make its specialty ice cream creations available to the masses.
The flash-frozen dessert maker announced it is entering the grocery retail space with the upcoming launch of Dippin' Dots Ice Cream Sundaes.
Owned by J&J Snack Foods Corp., the beaded ice cream brand revealed that its new format features three tiers of ingredients in each cup, with its signature dots accompanied by cookie pieces, ice cream and a sauce topping.
Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream Sundaes are packaged in individually portioned cups that debut in two flavors: Cookies 'n Cream, and Cotton Candy.
"This launch marks an exciting new chapter for the Dippin' Dots brand, and we're thrilled to bring this new product into homes across the country," J&J Snack Foods president and chief executive officer Dan Fachner said.
The company’s chief marketing officer, Lynwood Mallard, said it listened to the brand’s fans when developing the new product.
"Our consumers told us that they are craving innovation that allows them to enjoy the Dippin' Dots brand in their own home," Mallard said.
J&J Snack Foods said Dippin' Dots Ice Cream Sundaes are set to arrive at Kroger retail locations beginning in January 2025. The company said it plans to extend distribution to other retailers throughout the coming year.
