PHOENIX — As numerous members of the dairy industry gathered for joint meetings Oct. 21-23, the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) board of directors approved policy positions for dairy producers and cooperatives, and elected new members.
NMPF shared that delegates approved the election of six new board members during the organization’s annual meeting:
• Darrin Monteiro, California Dairies Inc.
• Dan Kullot, Dairy Farmers of America
• Kimberly Parks, Dairy Farmers of America
• Deric Lindstrom, Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery
• Joel Eigenbrood, Foremost Farms
• Jon Cowell, Maola (formerly Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association)
Both Eigenbrood and Cowell were elected to the NMPF executive committee, as well.
The board of directors also elected Craig Caballero of United Dairymen of Arizona as its secretary, and Jacob Larson of Southeast Milk, Inc. as chairman of its small cooperative caucus. Larson’s role also places him on the NMPF executive committee.
During the meeting, Dairy Farmers of America’s John Wilson and Kent Herman received NMPF’s Honorary Directors for Life recognition. The distinction also went to outgoing NMPF secretary Jay Bryant of Maola.
NMPF shared that its annual meeting drew close to 750 attendees.
