CHICAGO — Kellanova launched the company’s first smoked cracker product line when it introduced its new Cheez-It Smoked varieties.

Said to be inspired by “the absurdly adventurous fans who’ve been spicing up and smoking their Cheez-It crackers at home,” the new product line debuts with smoked cheddar and smoked gouda options.

The company said Cheez-It Smoked Cheddar combines cheese with a hickory and oak wood smoke flavor, alongside aged cheddar and onion notes. Cheez-It Smoked Gouda combines the taste of gouda with a hickory and maple wood smoke flavor and cheese flavor.

Cheez-It Smoked will be available at nationwide retailers starting in November.

Mars, Inc. recently reached an agreement to acquire Kellanova and its snack brands for approximately $35.9 billion.
