TURLOCK, CALIF. — Dairy ingredient processor Valley Milk, LLC introduced its new commodity trading and risk management advisor, Ron O’Brien.

The company, which produces a variety of milk powders, as well as pasteurized cream, said O’Brien’s work will entail focusing on the manufacturer’s energy, powder and fat risk management needs.

Additionally, Valley Milk’s customers will collaborate with O’Brien on sales of anhydrous milk fat and risk mitigation.

O’Brien’s career in dairy risk management includes working for Interfood. He also worked on expanding NUI Markets, a digital trading marketplace, in the United States.

Valley Milk said O’Brien’s expertise in dairy commodities and risk management will help it “navigate the complexities of the dairy market and identify new opportunities for value protection.”
