ROSEMONT, ILL. — Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) established a new website dedicated to aspects of the dairy checkoff that are of interest to dairy farmers.

While the checkoff used to highlight such content at the US Dairy website, its new home is DairyCheckoff.com. DMI designed the spin-off site to highlight the dairy checkoff’s full impact – at the national and local levels.

The new checkoff site’s focus on subjects tailored to dairy farmers features areas such as the growing demand for dairy, research and innovation, youth wellness, exports, sustainability, partnerships, and health and nutrition.

DMI group executive vice president and head of farmer relations and outreach Joanna Hunter said the site will allow dairy farmers to find deeper information and resources.

“When we spoke with farmers, we could see there was some confusion when we had just one website for the entirety of the checkoff, and they didn’t know how to get more information on programs that are delivering results for them,” Hunter said, adding that the new site was developed with a “farmer-first mindset.”

Checkoff online content geared toward farmers used to live on the USDairy.com website. DMI said the US Dairy site will remain a resource for consumers and thought leaders, with research-backed information on dairy, and the industry’s relationship with such subjects as health and wellness, and the environment.

The new dairy checkoff website also features podcast episodes, checkoff news updates, DMI board of directors information, annual reports, and budget and financial details.
