KINGSTON, ONTARIO — Powdered dairy manufacturer Canada Royal Milk (CRM) turned a spotlight on its 320,000-square-foot infant formula production facility with a grand opening on Sept. 27.

CRM launched its inaugural infant product formula, Niuriss, for sale online in March, and said it now is working to finalize retail agreements that could bring the formula to Canadian store shelves as soon as this month.

CRM said its infant formula, which received approval from Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency before production began at the Kingston, Ontario, plant earlier this year, “adheres to the highest global standards of quality and safety.” The company added that is uses premium ingredients and locally sourced Canadian milk to make the formula, which does not contain artificial growth hormones or antibiotics.

Chenggang Han, general manager of CRM, said the company’s production line has been busy preparing for Niuriss to debut throughout Canada.

“Thanks to the efforts of our community partners and our employees, Canada now has the most modern and advanced infant formula facility in North America right here in Kingston,” he said. “We are well positioned to be a major player in the market, and we hold ourselves to the highest standard when it comes to supporting the health and nourishment of families across the country.”
