HIRAM, OHIO – Great Lakes Cheese announced its board of directors chose Bob Sarver to become the company’s next president and chief executive officer.
Sarver will succeed president and CEO Dan Zagzebski, effective Aug. 1.
The company said Zagzebski will support Sarver during a transition period through the end of 2024, during which Zagzebski will serve as outgoing president and CEO.
Great Lakes Cheese first hired Sarver, currently executive vice president of packaging operations and sales, in 2018. Since that time, he worked in leadership roles involving continuous improvement, operations and sales.
The company shared that the board selected Sarver “because of his commitment to fostering long term relationships with our key partners, expertise in food manufacturing, and his dedication to the Great Lakes Cheese ownership culture.”
