MILWAUKEE – Thousands of dairy processing professionals congregated at the Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee April 16-18 to experience CheeseExpo 2024.
The biennial event featuring expert speakers, the latest research and trends, industry education opportunities, hundreds of suppliers and innovative solutions for the dairy industry, of course, included a wide-ranging exhibit floor, as well.
Hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and Center for Dairy Research (CDR), CheeseExpo also offered seminars and panel discussions on topics that matter to dairy processors.
With an emphasis on sustainability, the event provided insights from Sumeet Mathur, managing director of FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy Americas, as well as sessions on the supply chain and building a workforce with an ESG foundation, with perspectives from successful companies and professionals.
On April 17, the CheeseExpo’s championship cheese auction raised a record $423,480, as companies in attendance bid on winning cheeses and other dairy products from the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest.
