TILLAMOOK, ORE. – When Tillamook County Creamery Association formulated its newest product, Brick Cream Cheese, the dairy producer shared that it added more milkfat by weight than required for cream cheese, boosting the creaminess of the product in the process.
While introducing its new cream cheese, Tillamook also noted it is made without gums or preservatives.
Describing the cream cheese’s flavor as a balance of sweetness and tanginess and its qualities as decadent and velvety, the dairy manufacturer said the product was developed with both bakers and fans of cream cheese in mind.
Stephanie Carson, Tillamook’s senior director of category growth, shared that the brand’s consumers have requested a brick cream cheese for “a long time.”
Carson added: “Historically, there hasn't been much variety and the shelf was ripe for a premium, extra creamy, brick cream cheese. Tillamook Brick Cream Cheese is made with the highest quality ingredients. In our opinion, this cream cheese, like all our products, tastes better because it's made better, whether you're adding it to a soup, baking a cheesecake or spreading on a bagel."
Tillamook’s portfolio already included award-winning cream cheese spreads in flavors such as Original, Seriously Strawberry, Very Veggie, Chive & Onion, and Jalapeño Honey.
The new Brick Cream Cheese is available at retailers throughout the country.
