VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Daiya Foods promoted Hajime Fujita to chief executive officer. As CEO, Fujita will lead all global operations throughout North America and the brand’s continued international expansion, the company said.
He is joining Daiya from its parent company, Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, where he most recently was vice president, business planning. Fujita helped Otsuka acquire Daiya in 2017. From 2018 to 2021, he was director, business planning for Daiya. He also served on Daiya’s board as vice president at Otsuka America. Prior to his time at Daiya, Fujita was vice president of sales for Sanyo Manufacturing Corp.
The company also promoted Melanie Domer from chief marketing officer to chief commercial officer overseeing marketing and sales. Before joining the company, Domer held several leadership positions with SC Johnson. She has held several positions with companies such as Wrigley, General Mills, and Procter & Gamble.
John Kelly is being promoted from vice president of consumer marketing to chief marketing officer.
