ELMHURST, ILL. – The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) elected Mindy Berrey of Land O’Lakes, Inc., to chair its board of directors, making her the first woman in ADPI’s 100-year history to take on that role.
Berrey, senior director of sales at ADPI member company Land O’Lakes, succeeds William Schreiber of O-AT-KA Milk Products Cooperative, Inc., as his term expires.
ADPI also introduced the following newly elected officers:
• Vice chair – Tom Berry, vice president of quality and assurance, Associated Milk Producers Inc.
• Secretary – Patti Smith, chief executive officer, DairyAmerica, Inc.
• Treasurer – Kevin Quinn, vice president of sales and marketing, Idaho Milk Products
New officers and members were elected during ADPI’s 2023 annual member meeting, held in conjunction with the ADPI/ABI Annual Conference on April 23.
ADPI announced its new board members are Christine Van Asten, Darigold, Inc.; Rob Richter, Great Lakes Cheese; Molly Costaris, Michigan Milk Producers Association; Jim Jarman, Neutral Foods; and Jack Hoops, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc.
“For 100 years, ADPI has persevered thanks to ongoing commitment and leadership from individuals chosen to serve on our board of directors,” said Blake Anderson, ADPI president and CEO. “We are confident the new officers and directors will be positive additions to the board and the broader ADPI membership as they seek to maximize member value by working together on a collaborative basis to focus on increasing the global use of dairy-based ingredients.”
