CHINO, CALIF. — Custom flavor developer and producer OC Flavors announced it hired Jim Miller to become its chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Miller will lead OC’s efforts to expand its natural and organic flavor applications, refine its product portfolio and explore acquisition opportunities.

The company custom formulates liquid and powdered flavors for dairy, bakery, beverage, confection and nutritional supplement categories, and specializes in natural and organic.

Miller brings 30 years of food industry experience to the leadership team, holding various executive roles, such as president of Merieux NutriSciences, North America and vice president of global product management for Tate & Lyle.

He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
