EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. – Cottage cheese from Prairie Farms now comes in snack-sized portions, as well as in a variety of new flavors.
The Midwest dairy cooperative recently rolled out its small batch cottage cheese snack cups, which are made with local milk, and without any artificial growth hormones.
The new line of snacking cottage cheeses, which come in 5 oz. containers, are available not only in standard flavors such as plain (small curd or low-fat), but also strawberry, pineapple, peach, zesty fiesta and garden veggie.
The Southwest-themed zesty fiesta’s ingredients include dehydrated black beans, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, garlic and cilantro.
The garden veggie flavor features carrots, onions, parsley, celery, tomatoes and garlic, among other ingredients.
The snack-sized portions include 12-14 g of protein per cup.
