DORCHESTER, MASS. – No longer known as YogiBalls, the company that produces small bites of strained cow’s milk yogurt immersed in organic extra virgin olive oil, organic sunflower oil and herbs and spices announced it has rebranded as Pariva.
The image shift includes a revamped logo and packaging, as well as the launch of two new flavors, Tandoori and Za’atar, which follow up the company’s original recipe, Garlic & Rosemary.
Similar to labneh, a popular Mediterranean and Middle Eastern yogurt spread, the yogurt bites are creamy and spreadable, and can be utilized with cheese boards and salads or as a snack.
The Tandoori flavor, which is popular in India, features a blend of paprika, cumin, cardamon and ginger. The Za’atar flavor, with roots in the Middle East, consists of toasted sesame seeds, sumac, thyme, marjoram and oregano.
“We are passionate about helping people improve and transform their lives, and in support of that we offer healthy foods that taste great,” said Manjarrie Saha, founder of Pariva. “As we grow, our vision is to serve our community by offering employment opportunities to those who have been marginalized by society so that they may continue on a journey of transformation, too.”
Saha added: “As consumers are increasingly concerned about what they put in their bodies, we’re delighted to offer a product that not only tastes good, but does not compromise on its ingredients. While yogurt is rich in protein and full of probiotics that fight off ‘bad bacteria’ and help maintain a healthy digestive system, both EVOO and sunflower oil reduce inflammation in the digestive system. Thanks to its healthy fat content, extra virgin olive oil not only heal one’s gut, but enhances the digestive tract's nutrient absorption.”
Founded in 2019, the Massachusetts-based company’s process involves straining whole cow’s milk yogurt, crafting the bites and immersing them in oils with herbs and spices, allowing them to absorb the flavors in a jar.
