PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Coinciding with Clio Snacks’ announcement that its distribution is expanding to include Kroger stores, the Greek yogurt refrigerated bar maker revealed three new flavors for its fresh snacking brand.
The company’s newest certified gluten free bars – Chocolate Greek Yogurt, Vanilla Less Sugar Greek Yogurt and Vanilla Almond Granola & Yogurt Parfait – deliver whole milk Greek yogurt in the form of Clio’s signature texture, which it likens to cheesecake.
The chocolate bar has eight grams of protein and 150 calories. The vanilla variety with less sugar is keto friendly, and contains 100 calories and 1g of sugar. The new granola and yogurt bars come with a layer of cranberry almond granola, as well as an almond butter coating. The parfait-style snacks have 210 calories and 10g of protein.
"We are delighted to introduce three innovative snacking solutions to our growing portfolio of handheld Greek yogurt bars," said John McGuckin, chief executive officer of Clio Snacks. "The snacking trend has emerged as an incremental and dynamic force within refrigerated CPG, and our goal is to provide delicious solutions which deliver on the promise of guiltless indulgence.”
Kroger and Whole Foods Market locations will carry the company’s new Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bars (SRP of $1.49 per bar), as well as its Vanilla and Strawberry Greek Yogurt Bars. Clio’s Vanilla Less Sugar Greek Yogurt Bars (SRP of $1.99 per bar) will be available at Whole Foods Market and Albertsons stores. Whole Foods Market also will carry the Vanilla Almond Granola & Yogurt Parfait Bars (SRP of $2.49 per bar). Additionally, the bars can be purchased online via Clio’s website in 10-count boxes.
