MINERVA, OHIO – Minerva Dairy and Goldbelly have teamed up to make two limited-edition butter flavors available nationwide.

The northeast Ohio dairy announced its special flavors are Everything Bagel Butter and Lemon Poppy Seed Butter.

The Everything Bagel recipe includes sea salt, minced onions and garlic, black and white sesame seeds and poppy seeds. The Lemon Poppy Seed Butter features “a touch” of lemon to go with its poppy seed flavor.

“You just can’t seem to stop eating blueberry muffins when they’re made with our Lemon Poppy Seed Butter,” said Minerva Dairy fifth-generation co-owner Venae Watts. “And for the Everything Bagel Butter, all I can say is, lather that bird with Everything Bagel Butter, and do not hold back. Chicken, turkey, or capon — I don’t think I ever want to eat a bird cooked any other way.”

The small-batch butters, unlike Minerva Dairy’s regular line of slow-churned butters, will only have a limited run. It is available for consumers on Goldbelly’s website.

The dairy also announced that Watts is open to hearing from other grocery retailers — via email, at venae@minervadairy.com — about creating more unique, small-batch butters in the future.

“I love a challenge,” Watts said. “Especially a butter one.”
