TUALATIN, ORE. — Pacific Foods, a subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Co., is doubling down on plant-based innovation with the introduction of Creamy Oat Milk Soups and Creamy Plant-Based Broths. Both new product lines are USDA certified organic, vegan and made with sustainably sourced ingredients.
The Creamy Oat Milk Soups are the first-to-market oat milk-based soups, according to the company. The soups come in two varieties: cumin carrot and garden tomato.
The cumin carrot oat milk soup is made with oat milk, rice flour, carrot puree, onion puree, ground cashews, garlic puree, pea protein, apple cider vinegar, ancho chile pepper, cumin, oregano, sea salt and spices. Each 1-cup serving contains 100 calories, 3 grams of protein and 2 grams of sugar.
The garden tomato oat milk soup is made with oat milk, tomato paste, carrot puree, zucchini puree, onion puree, ground cashews, garlic puree, rice flour, coconut aminos, sea salt and spices. Each 1-cup serving contains 100 calories, 3 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar.
Pacific Foods’ Creamy Plant-Based Broths are the first liquid broth to use pea protein, according to the company. The broths are gluten-free, soy-free and non-GMO and come in two flavors: herb and roasted garlic, and zesty ginger and turmeric.
The herb and roasted garlic broth is made with onions, pea protein, celery, carrots, roasted garlic puree, coconut aminos, sea salt, coriander, fenugreek, cumin and black pepper. Each 1-cup serving contains 60 calories, 6 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar.
The ginger and turmeric broth is made with onions, pea protein, celery, carrots, ginger puree, carrot juice, turmeric, sea salt, garlic puree and cayenne pepper. Each 1-cup serving contains 60 calories, 6 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of sugar.
Pacific Foods Creamy Oat Milk Soups and Creamy Plant-Based Broths are set to hit shelves nationwide next week. The soup will retail for $3.99 per 32-oz carton, and the broth will retail for $5.99 per 32-oz carton.
