WISCONSIN – Roth Cheese, award-winning specialty cheesemakers, has introduced an updated look for its line of Gouda products. The revamped packaging will be most notable on fan-favorite cheeses, such as the Roth Gouda and Natural Smoked Gouda wedges.
This decision comes as the company, which has been in the cheese industry since 1991, sees a rise in Gouda sales nationwide. From 2016 to 2019, retail Gouda sales grew four times the rate of the total specialty cheese category.
“As trends and colors evolve, we want our packaging to stay current,” Vice President of Marketing for Roth Cheese Heather Engwall said. “We are excited to deliver the same delicious Gouda cheese that our fans know and love, now with a bright and fun aesthetic that is sure to catch the eye of any cheese counter visitor.”
Crafted from locally sourced milk, Roth Gouda is made in Wisconsin using rBST-free milk. The Natural Smoked Gouda is made using the same detailed process before being smoked. Both cheeses are said to be perfect for cooking or being used on a charcuterie board. Roth also crafts Aged Gouda and Spinach Artichoke Gouda.
Cheese-lovers can now find the newly packaged Gouda while shopping at their local grocer. Consumers will also be able to find the updated items on direct-to-consumer grocery delivery service, Imperfect Foods, who has added Roth Gouda and Roth Smoked Gouda to their growing list of product offerings.
