PHILADELPHIA – Instant commerce platform Gopuff announced it partnered with McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams to launch a limited time flavor that is available exclusively through Gopuff’s online shopping app.

The new McConnell's PB&J Gopuff Exclusive Ice Cream Pint debuted on the platform July 8. Gopuff said it developed the flavor with the artisanal ice cream maker as a response to consumers’ love for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches – the No. 3 most popular item ordered on Gopuff in 2023, the company shared.

“We had a lot of fun developing the final PB+J recipe, tapping into Gopuff’s consumer preferences while staying true and using the best local ingredients, crafting from start to finish in-house here at McConnell’s Family Dairy,” said Michael Palmer, chief executive officer and co-owner, McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams.

The PB&J ice cream contains ribbons of strawberry jelly, chunks of salty peanut butter and hunks of white bread in a sweet cream base.

Gopuff said ice cream sales on its platform historically increase in June. The platform also sells pints of McConnell’s Double Peanut Butter Chip and Salted Caramel Chip flavors, and Gopuff customers get $2 off any McConnell’s flavor through July 21 as part of the launch.
