DELFT, THE NETHERLANDS — Vivici, an animal-free dairy protein manufacturer founded by DSM and Fonterra, announced it will launch in 2024 a whey protein called beta-lactoglobulin.
The functional protein maker, which uses precision fermentation, plans to supply its new whey protein to food and beverage brands seeking more sustainable whey and animal-free products.
In addition to launching beta-lactoglobulin, Vivici has scaled up its beta-lactoglobulin process. This includes producing food grade product for customer projects, the company shared.
