BRIDGEVILLE, DEL. – The Elf on the Shelf will have a new place to hide this holiday season. With the help of crafted frozen dessert maker The Frozen Farmer, the modern tradition and its signature scout elves have their own spot in the freezer, with the debut of The Elf on the Shelf Santa's Cookies Ice Cream.
The Lumistella Company, home of The Elf on the Shelf brand, partnered with The Frozen Farmer for the limited-edition ice cream, which is being sold exclusively at The Kroger Co.’s family of stores through Christmas.
The Frozen Farmer formulated a scoopable version that’s being sold in pints, as well as an ice cream sandwich option. The women-owned company shared that the pints feature sweet vanilla ice cream combined with red and green cookie crumbles, while The Elf on the Shelf Santa's Cookies Ice Cream Sandwiches have red and green sugar cookie ice cream as the filling between two sugar-sprinkled sugar cookies.
"As a mom to four daughters, Christmas is a very magical time in our home and we wanted to bring that magic to households across America with a new holiday tradition inspired by Santa's favorite treat," said Katey Evans, founder of The Frozen Farmer. "Why settle for leaving Santa just cookies when you can leave him the perfect combination of ice cream and cookies all in one?"
Christa Pitts, co-founder of The Lumistella Company, said its focus on creating joyful family moments led to the collaboration.
"We are thrilled to partner with The Frozen Farmer to bring The Elf on the Shelf Ice Cream line to market,” Pitts said. “With its roots in a small farm and a heart as vast as the North Pole, The Frozen Farmer not only embodies the spirit of togetherness that defines our Christmas tradition, but also inspires us to celebrate with our families."
