NEW YORK – Low-sugar frozen dessert manufacturer Enlightened set out to revamp its light ice cream, resulting in the launch of its new Greek Frozen Yogurt Pints.
The company said its enhanced formulation with a Greek yogurt base adds to the texture, tase and nutritional value of the product.
"After seeing our customers' response to our Greek yogurt bars earlier this year, we knew we had to try a pint version," said Michael Shoretz, Enlightened’s founder and chief executive officer. "We strive to make the best-tasting low sugar treats by constantly adapting and improving."
The updated pints include prebiotics and probiotics, with 150 or fewer calories per serving, along with 8 to 10 grams of protein and what the company described as minimal added sugar.
The Greek yogurt pints launched in such flavors as Salted Caramel Cookie, Brownies & Cookie Dough, Coffee Toffee, Mint Chip, Kookie Dough and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Enlightened’s new product line is available at various retail locations throughout the United States, with an MSRP of $6.99.
