EVANSTON, ILL. – Grass-fed Irish dairy maker Kerrygold announced it formulated a new line of savory flavored butters that are expected to have national distribution by September.
The Kerrygold Butter Blends launched in three flavors: Chive & Onion, Sundried Tomato & Basil, and Bell Pepper & Garden Herbs. The Chive & Onion flavor already earned a 2023 PEOPLE Food Award for best butter.
An international brand of Ornua, Kerrygold shared that its butters are made with milk from Irish grass-fed cows and slow churned for a smooth finish. The new Butter Blends do not contain artificial flavors or preservatives and the brand added they are made with milk that is rich in naturally occurring beta carotene.
"The Butter Blends assortment is a delicious new addition to Kerrygold's existing butter portfolio," said Alexandra Vinci, brand manager for Kerrygold. "With the rising popularity of homemade compound butters all over social media, and as the No. 1 imported butter brand, we're excited to bring consumers our Irish take and expertise on the growing culinary trend."
Kerrygold recommended using its Chive & Onion flavor for topping steaks or finishing veggies and sides, Sundried Tomato & Basil for crostini or adding to a sandwich or grilled cheese, and Bell Pepper & Garden Herbs with pasta primavera or spicy popcorn.
The new products already are available at Kroger, Harris Teeter and Whole Foods stores, while Kerrygold said Publix will have them in July and national distribution is on the way in September.
