LOS ANGELES – Dairy alternative cheese maker Misha’s announced its products are now available at conventional grocery retail chains for the first time.
Walmart locations in California, Utah, Nevada, Washington and Texas became the first to carry Misha’s dairy-free products in early May.
Prior to its distribution partnership with Walmart, Misha’s products were only sold in natural and specialty grocery stores on the West Coast, as well as in Texas and Hawaii.
California-based Misha’s makes its dairy alternative cheeses with cashew milk, blended with locally sourced fresh herbs, vegetables and spices.
“Here at Misha’s, we live and breathe our brand,” said Aaron Bullock, co-founder and chief executive officer. “Our team has worked tirelessly to develop and refine our products. As a purpose-driven and community-focused company on a mission to produce the best plant-based cheese for consumers, we are proud to partner with Walmart, which has been an unrelenting supporter of us, helping to bring Misha’s to the larger community.”
Walmart will carry four of the company’s spreadable cheese flavors: French Connection, Smoked Cheddar, Sari and Black Truffle.
