LAKEWOOD, NY – Southern Tier Brewing Company called upon Perry's Ice Cream as it formulated its newest beer flavor.
The craft beverage maker uses Perry’s ingredients to make its newly launched Vanilla Scoop, an 8.6% ABV imperial ale.
"For this release, we wanted to capture the delicious flavor of Perry's Vanilla Ice Cream in a bottle,” said Matt Dunn, vice president of operations at Southern Tier Brewing Company. “Using Perry's signature vanilla and milk sugar we could deliver a creamy full-bodied beer we think fans are going to love.”
Nichole Buryta, senior brand manager for Perry’s Ice Cream, called the new product a great way for the regional brands to collaborate and deliver a “one-of-a-kind” flavor.
“When we tried the samples Southern Tier created, we were blown away by how much the beer tasted like a scoop of Perry’s Vanilla,” Buryta said.
The new flavor will be sold at retailers in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, as well as other markets where Southern Tier has a presence. Vanilla Scoop also will be on tap at the company’s taproom locations.
