Good & Gather Plant Based will debut with more than 30 offerings, including non-dairy chocolate-flavored mousse dip, savory cauliflower wings, Italian-style meatless meatballs, everything seasoned cashew dip, vanilla oat milk and more.
“Good & Gather Plant Based reinforces the brand’s commitment to products that prioritize great taste and quality, with the value only Target can offer,” said Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief food and beverage officer for Target. “Guest demand for plant-based offerings is incredibly high and continues to grow. By adding Good & Gather Plant Based to our curated assortment of plant-based offerings, we’re giving guests more of what they want and making it easy for them to discover the joy of food every day.”
Created by Target’s internal team of food scientists and recipe developers, Good & Gather Plant Based items include mealtime staples spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner. The entire assortment is priced under $8, with most items under $5, according to the company. Dips and meat alternatives are already available, and other products such as creamers and salad dressings are expected to launch in the coming months.
Good & Gather is Target’s largest owned brand, with more than 2,000 products from pantry items and sauces to fresh produce and dairy, meat and bread. The brand, which is free from artificial flavors and sweeteners, synthetic colors and high-fructose corn syrup, generated more than $2 billion in sales last year. Last fall, the retailer announced the addition of 600 items, including a Good & Gather Signature line featuring premium flavors and ingredients. Target’s plant-based assortment has increased fivefold in the past three years, according to the company.
