LEOMINSTER, MASS. – India-inspired yogurt maker Dah! introduced a new take on the recent butter board trend, swapping out one dairy product for another as the main ingredient.
With the help of culinary TV host and author Padma Lakshmi, Dah! suggested using its Lassi Yogurt Smoothie as the featured component of a savory creation.
Made with strained lassi, a traditional drinkable yogurt in India, that can be spread across a board as the base, the recipe also incorporates olive oil, sumac, smoked paprika, aleppo pepper, dried apricot and mint.
Dah! recommends pairing the lassi board with crackers, shortbread cookies, crispy parmesan, nuts and berries.
The company’s lassi products, which are slow-cultured yogurt smoothies, are cooked at a low temperature for an extended time, creating a smooth and “richly textured” smoothie, per Dah!
