MADISON, WIS. – The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) announced it is accepting applications for a new series of grants. Designed for dairy processors, the grants help companies grow their businesses and showcase their export potential through trade shows, marketing and promotion, consulting services, and education.

The WCMA received the funds – enough to support nine Wisconsin dairy companies – via the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and its Collaborative Market Access Grants (CMAG).

“Wisconsin dairy manufacturers are enthusiastic about meeting the growing global demand for dairy, and these awards will offer meaningful support to help them reach consumers around the world,” said John Umhoefer, WCMA’s executive director.

Companies that are awarded grant funds can use them to participate in any of the following 2023 trade shows:

• Gulfood (Dubai, Feb. 20-24)

• SIAL America (Las Vegas, March 28-30)

• Food & Hotel Asia (Singapore, April 25-28)

• SIAL Canada (Toronto, May 9-11)

• Food & Hospitality China (May 10-12)

• Anuga (Cologne, Germany, Oct. 7-11)

• Food & Hotel Vietnam (Nov. 21-23)

Dairy companies can use their respective grant awards to cover specific trade show expenses outlined by the WCMA, which will award grants for as much as $15,000.
