BOISE, IDAHO – This holiday season, a screen near you may feature an inviting array of cheeses instead of a cozy fireplace. Regional dairy promotion organization Dairy West and its consumer-facing brand, Unbottled, created The Cheese Channel to showcase regional cheeses day and night, for any occasion.
A riff on fireplace channels, The Cheese Channel features products made by dairy farm families in Idaho and Utah that the organization promotes.
“We’re proud of Utah and Idaho dairy producers and the quality cheeses they produce, so we built a whole channel to showcase the joy that cheese brings to consumers,” said Kristi Spence, senior vice president of marketing and communications for Dairy West. “The last few years have put a lot of traditions on hold, like sharing a cheese board. We wanted to do something fun for all the cheese lovers out there to help get them in the holiday mood.”
Some of the cheeses sharing the spotlight on The Cheese Channel come from Herber Valley Artisan Cheese (Midway, Utah), Ballard Cheese (Gooding, Idaho), Beehive Cheese (Uintah, Utah) and The Creamery (Beaver, Utah), as well as other cheese producers from the region.
The Cheese Channel can be streamed online via the Unbottled website, as well as on YouTube.
Established in 2017, Dairy West represents dairy farmers, processors and supply chain partners in Utah and Idaho.
