PRINCETON, NJ. — Heritage Kulfi launched its ice cream portfolio with eight South Asian-inspired flavors.
The New Jersey-based company debuted its take on kulfi, a popular South Asian frozen dessert, in early 2022. Using a slow cooking process, Heritage Kulfi has made its frozen dessert to be egg-free, gluten-free and halal.
The new flavors being added include: Cardamom Chai, Earl Grey, Alphonso Mango, Saffron, Pistachio, Rosewater, Vanilla Bean and Coconut.
Each flavor is available in a 16-oz carton for a suggested retail price of $7.99. Heritage Kulfi’s products can be found at specialty grocery stores, natural markets and regionally focused outlets, including South Asian, Middle Eastern, and East Asian grocery stores.
“The intent was to use high-quality, authentic ingredients when developing each flavor,” said Mansoor Ahmed, founder and chief executive officer of Heritage Kulfi. “Building on my own nostalgia for the South Asian food and desserts of my childhood allowed me to confidently create something that I know others would equally enjoy. I’m very excited to offer all ice cream enthusiasts something new and unique.”
