NEW YORK — Hu, a business owned by Mondelez International, Inc., is introducing its first-ever milk chocolate bars. The products are organic and fair trade, formulated with coconut sugar and grass-fed milk.
Hu Organic Grass-Fed Milk Chocolate is available in five flavors, including a simple bar with four ingredients. Other varieties are hazelnut butter and crunchy hazelnut, cashew butter, almond crunch and coconut flakes, and almond butter and almond crunch.
“Milk chocolate is undeniably delicious, and we’ve been craving the opportunity to produce a version our way — the Hu way,” said Jordan Brown, co-founder of Hu Products and Hu Kitchen. “We finally did it and think we’ve got some seriously good milk chocolate. We cannot wait for both our current fans and new fans to try our ultra-simple take on this classic.
“We use organic, grass-fed milk in these bars, and we have a really strong list of ingredient ‘NO’s’ (things we avoid) featured proudly on the packaging. Organic, grass-fed dairy is certainly rare in the milk chocolate bar market, and this new line makes us think back fondly to the Hu Kitchen restaurant, where we used milk and butter at our coffee and ‘Liquids Bar.’ We are very excited to have you all join us for this next chapter of Hu Chocolate.”
Hu Organic Grass-Fed Milk Chocolate is available to purchase through Hu’s website, Amazon and Sprouts Farmers Market stores nationwide. The products are slated to roll out to additional retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Walmart and Target in the coming weeks.
