Lucknow District Co-operative opens cheese factory

LUCKNOW, ONTARIO – Canada-based Lucknow District Co-operative, Inc., announced the opening of its factory for processing cheese.

The cheese factory opening coincided with the cooperative also sharing that the Mercato at Pine River Food Products opened.

Additionally, Lucknow’s president, Martyn VanMeeteren, shared during the cooperative’s general meeting that it experienced more than $38 million in sales this past year, leading to a $600,000 patronage payout that will be distributed to its member-owners.

The cooperative furnishes farm supplies and services, markets farm products and supplies consumer goods and services, while providing its members with economic benefits.
